VidMagnet Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of VidMagnet. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by them.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using VidMagnet, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to use the Service) to create an account. By using VidMagnet, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Description of VidMagnet
VidMagnet is a mobile-first identification tool that helps you identify movies, TV shows, music videos, commercials, and other video content by capturing a frame with your camera or by searching a title, and provides details and links to where you can watch, rent, or buy it.
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your email address current. You can delete your VidMagnet data at any time from Profile > Delete Account.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: using it for any unlawful purpose; attempting to access another user's data; interfering with or disrupting the Service; reverse-engineering or scraping it; or using it in a way that could damage or impair anyone's rights.
6. User Content and Uploaded Images
You are responsible for the frames and images you capture and submit. You agree that you have the right to capture and submit any image you provide and that your use does not infringe the rights of others. Uploaded frames may be stored with your Identification history and processed by our AI services to identify content.
7. AI-Generated Identification Results
Identification results are generated by AI models and may be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated. VidMagnet does not guarantee that any identification, metadata, or "where to watch" link is accurate.
8. Accuracy Disclaimer
VidMagnet is provided for informational and entertainment purposes. You should verify any title, creator, availability, or streaming link independently before relying on it.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third parties, including AI/LLM providers, payment processors, and streaming platforms linked from the app. Their terms and practices apply to your use of those services, and we are not responsible for their availability or accuracy.
10. Subscriptions and Billing
VidMagnet offers a limited number of free identifications and a paid Pro plan. Digital subscriptions purchased inside the iOS app are billed through Apple's App Store; Apple manages payment processing, and renewal and cancellation are handled through your Apple account subscription settings. VidMagnet does not receive your full payment-card information from Apple. Digital subscriptions purchased inside the Android app are billed through Google Play; Google manages payment processing, and renewal and cancellation are handled through Google Play. Web subscriptions may be processed through Stripe, which handles payment processing; VidMagnet does not store your full payment-card number. By subscribing, you authorize the applicable billing provider to charge the recurring fees until you cancel.
11. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; you retain access until the end of your current billing period. Deleting your VidMagnet data also cancels any active subscription.
12. Refunds
Refunds, where applicable, are handled according to the terms of the payment processor used for your purchase. Web subscriptions are subject to Stripe's refund policies and applicable law. We do not guarantee refunds except where required by law.
13. Intellectual Property
The VidMagnet app, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors. Title, creator, and content information returned by the Service belongs to its respective rights holders and is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.
14. Copyright and Takedown
VidMagnet respects intellectual property. If you believe the Service is infringing your copyright, contact us with the details required for a takedown request, including the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material, and your contact information, and we will review and address valid claims.
15. Prohibited Uses
You may not use VidMagnet to infringe copyrights, to distribute or stream unauthorized content, or to enable piracy. Links provided by the Service point to official platforms; VidMagnet does not host or provide downloadable video files.
16. Availability and Service Changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features or the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any interruption, outage, or change in third-party streaming availability.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that identification results will be accurate.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VidMagnet and its providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, your user content, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.
20. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason we believe protects the Service or its users.
21. Privacy Policy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and handle your information and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
22. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date.
